 |
When
do classes begin? |
 |
Classes
begin every Fall (August) and Spring (January) semester
for each of the main technical disciplines: Automotive,
Diesel and Aviation. |
 |
Why
is there advanced transportation technology (ATT) curriculum? |
 |
As
new technologies or devices are created to improve a product,
industry will demand that the technicians using these
new products be well trained. The technician must be trained
to install, understand the products function and be able
to insure that it is working properly. ATT curriculum
is industry driven |
 |
I
have no basic skills. How long before I gain that technical
skill knowledge? |
 |
Each program has a different time
commitment:
- Aviation takes about 4 or
5 semesters to complete
- Automotive takes about 5
semesters to complete
- Diesel takes about 4 or 5
semesters to complete
|
 |
How
long does it take to start my career? |
 |
It's up to you!
- First, your career can begin
as soon as you finish a basic technology program of
your choice. You may start your career apprenticeship
while in college.
- Second, as a current working technician there may
be gaps in your experience. Improve your understanding
of the current technical development in your industry
by attending professional development courses in alternative
fuels, intelligent transportation systems and other
developing areas.
